• Lick 1: E Blues Lick
The first lick comes from the E blues scale and centres around the sound of open strings for a cool sound:
• Lick 2: E Dominant Lick
The second lick is in the style of great fingerpicking guitarist Jerry Reed and again dials into the unique sound of open strings against fretted notes:
• Lick 3: B7 Lick
The third lick is based on the B7 chord, using open strings as it descends:
• Lick 4: E Spanish Lick
The fourth lick has a Spanish flavour to it and sounds great against the drone of the low open E string or open E chord:
• Lick 5: E Pentatonic Lick
The fifth and final lick is bluesy in nature and uses the Em pentatonic scale along with droning open strings:
