In this video, you learn how to read chord charts for guitar.

Unlike learning how to read notation, which is for the most part only useful if you play classical or jazz music, knowing how to read a chord chart will benefit your guitar playing greatly!

It is a skill you use all the time, allowing you to play songs on the spot, without notice, bringing a lot of freedom to your playing.

This lesson is divided into the following 3 sections:

• Chord Chart Overview

You learn all the components that make up a chord chart including time signatures, bars, repeat signs, coda’s and the like so you can easily identify all the various elements that you will come across in a chord chart.

• Navigating A Chord Chart

You learn how to navigate your way through a chord chart from start to finish, adhering to all the various repeat signs and the like covered when first overviewing the chart.

• Practicing Reading Chord Charts

And most importantly, you learn how to practice getting good at reading through chord charts so you can play any song on the spot without notice.
